Rubio Staying Put

"Going to Minnesota would have just complicated my life a lot", said Rubio about moving to the Timberwolves. God forbid he'd have to live with a hefty NBA contract for a while. I've always been unsure about Rubio and now it's clear why. Is he too young for the NBA right now? I don't think it's all him to be honest with you. I think Rubio probably has many people making decisions for him. I don't think he was ready for the NBA, and now it's a game between Minnesota and his representatives. The Timberwolves are saying that Rubio backed out of the deal. For the sake of the Timberwolves, they should be glad that Rubio backed out. He's been unsure all along and it would have only made for an agonizing season in Minnesota.

Celtics Adding Depth
Boston announced the signing of former Pacer Marquis Daniels yesterday. The 6-foot-6 guard averaged 13.6 points and 4.6 rebounds for Indiana last season. This move only makes the C's second team that much stronger. I asked Stephen A. Smith on Twitter if the Cavs would be tops in the East. This is what he told me, "I don't think so, barring a LeBron explosion. To me, Boston is better." I didn't really think about it in depth, but with the Celtics bench, they could reign again in the East. Although Cleveland's bench has gained some strength this off season as well.
